About LWB
Leadership Wilkes-Barre is a community leadership development organization.  Created in 1981, our five programs foster civic engagement of emerging leaders and include them in the Greater Wilkes-Barre community structure.  Our goal is to seek out future leaders and provide them with the information, skills and training needed to become leaders and active participants in the community.  Programs are aimed at a spectrum of participants ranging from adolescents and seniors to mid-career professionals and newcomers to Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Over 2,000 alumni have graduated from our programs.  Many direct or influence the operation of small and large companies and a multitude of nonprofit organizations and government agencies.   Our participants strongly believe that Leadership Wilkes-Barre offers invaluable skills, networking opportunities and friendships for a lifetime.

For more than a decade, Leadership Wilkes-Barre has also presented the Greater Wyoming Valley Leadership Forum.  The annual public event provides a neutral forum for community discussions around current hot topics or a sounding board for new initiatives.

If someone you know shares a commitment to improving the quality of life of Greater Wilkes-Barre, please recommend them to our office by calling 570-823-2101 ext 135.  You are also welcome to visit our office at 4 Public Square.
