Susan SmithOffice Manager
Susan is a graduate of Wyoming Seminary and Mount Holyoke College with a degree in History, concentrating in American Constitutional Law & Politics. She has been the Office Manager for Leadership Wilkes-Barre since 2012 and is a 2006 graduate of the Core program. Prior to joining the LWB team, she served as the NE Branch Director for the Lupus Foundation of PA, and as Director of Community Education and a member of the senior management team for Planned Parenthood Keystone health services. Her volunteer activities include Board Chair of the NEPA Rainbow Alliance from 2006-2011, the Luzerne/Lackawanna Branch of the American Heart Association Lackawanna County 2011 Heart Walk Committee, the Leadership Wilkes-Barre Alumni Council, the Committee to Elect Paula Radick for Judge, CreateAthon 2011 and 2012, and the 2012 Make-a-Wish Wine & Wishes Committee. She has been involved in the past as an E.L. Meyers Dr. Martin Luther King Open Speech & Debate Tournament judge, Toys for Tots volunteer, Osterhout Library Rooftop Party volunteer and Wyoming Seminary Class Reunion Chair. Susan completed her Professional Leadership Development certificate through Wilkes University in 2015 and her Advanced Leadership Development certificate in 2016. She is a passionate advocate for social justice, a mediocre golfer (but isn’t every golfer?), a French onion soup aficionado, enjoys word games, documentaries and local history, a Philly sports fan and animal lover. She resides in Forty Fort.
